The Herons of Petulu Returning at Dusk
There is a small village near Ubud in Bali called Petulu. This village, and only this village, is the home for thousands of White Herons. It is an amazing sight to see the trees of Petulu completely cloaked in white. But it is a sight you can only see between dusk and dawn, because as the sun rises these birds all leave Petulu and fly into the surrounding countryside, and only as the sun is setting do they return.
